Description
fr

A series of interviews recounting the life of a village in the Corbières. For a month, we followed, interviewed and photographed some of the villagers who agreed to take part in the experiment. A ‘symphonic’ documentary illustrated with a soundtrack composed especially, and with the ambient noises of the village.
[Luc Ferrari]

Tuchan is in Occitania, a region famous for its Hautes Corbières and Minervois wines.
Brunhild and Luc went there for the first time in 1976.
During this first outing, they met the locals, winemakers, merchants, the village youth, etc., and discussed a great deal of subjects including what particularly interested them: viticulture, the land, politics, hunting, the memory of places and young people's future.
They returned to Paris promising to come back the following year with a “portrait” of the village, in 1977 giving birth to a report combining photography, sound and music, entitled Tuchan Village n°11350.

About
fr
1929 – 2005

Never ceasing to investigate, Luc Ferrari leaves behind a body of work by turns exalting, noble, funny, intimate, and nocturnal. Like a mirror turned toward the Other, it reflects the world and its fantasies.

He had a weakness for women with accents.

Find the near-complete catalogue of his mixed music and sonic pieces at Maison ONA — about 150 works released over time.
1929 – 2005
