Description

Inspired by the book 'The Gorgeous nothings' (New York, Ed. Christine Burgin / New Directions, 2013) which contains the manuscript fragments of Emily Dickinson (1830-1886), Liao Lin-Ni continues her work in the spatialization of sound that she began in the ensemble piece 'To light, and then return' (2015). Through the timbre of music, she finds and reveals the dimensions of light and shadow in Dickinson's world, defined by nature and the depth of human tenderness.
• Premiered on 17 November 2016 in Johannissaal, Schloss Nymphenburg – München, Germany by the Ensemble BlauerReiter conducted by Armando Merino
• Dedicated to Ensemble BlauerReiter & Armando Merino
